this wonder-phone has been taking too much flaks recently, due to the incompetence to certain functions that human beings would like to have. oh well, better here than never. they managed to come up with some updates available to all iPhone users.

some of the most interesting additions to the new iPhone firmware below, but here is a summary of the highlights:

P2P over Bluetooth
MMS
embeddable maps
landscape mode for all Apple apps
ability to send multiple photos

the ability to forward messages would certainly be welcome and applauded by many iPhone users. Functions like these may not be used as often as someone would have imagined, but it belongs so those nitty gritty details that a phone person would like to have. My first Panasonic phone which weighs like the cordless phone in my house can actually do this function while this 3G iPhone by Mac can't? I hope this update can be downloaded soon.

fifth march, the special day.

the built up of this eventful day was not exactly as what we both would have hoped for. we had a disagreement in some issues that had fortunately, or rather temporarily been resolved. relationship issues are sometimes as complex as how great walls are built.

On a lighter note, fast forward to the happier 2nd half of this day. cast away from the robustic city life just few streets away, the botanic garden being its usual serene self played host to 2 city bums. Hidden within the park, the overall landscape managed to earn some "WOW" from the 2 of us, from the bonsai(s), to the swan lake (without swans) and the countless sculptures are all worth mentioning.

All these "distractions" however proved the obstacles towards our FOOD mission. (you will soon find out why)

29th August marks the day my bro's graduation from SIM
though he has alr graduated fr like "tons of months" ago , oh well .... the graduation alw comes way late i guess
i was appointed as the driver basically that day ... Due to the admission of just 2 pax in the ceremony theatre, i basically drove around sgp to pick up the excited aunts and grandma for the hyped-up event, with my bro being the first uni grad fr my maternal side.
dad was especially elated that day to see the worth of his MULA ....

like finally, exams are over !!!! time to have fun and work my ass off for the BKK trip.

friday zouk night came with a theme. Next up on Saturday, a last minute steamboat arranged at the very last minute. these days are practically spent working and "flipping through" manuals preparing for my papers on 9th n 11th June.

The constant feeding regime by my dear aunt at my place is certainly not helping. ahaha, everyday i wake up ... theres like tons n tons of food spread on my dining table. And before i can say anything, shes already cooking the next meal in the kitchen just a few steps away. hur. Well, i guess its all part of the efforts put in by the crews to nutrition my mum back to health and i certainly fufilled my part of cooking for her as well = P

But in the process, i shall make sure i am not be the one putting on the weights !!! Have been jogging opposite my house whenever possible.

The enlightening part is the maid is here as well, helping me clean up my room and stuff. As a person that has never enjoyed the "assistance" of a maid in my 24 years, i have no complains manz. WAHAHA ! But dun u guys worry, i am and i will and i shall treat her very nice ... =)

mum has been back since Sunday, im so glad that she recovering from her operation, though abit slow in a certain manner, but at least its heading the right direction. From her operation, it really got me thinking that everyone really needs someone to be with them at their lowest point. The times in the hospital, where i assured my Mum's hand that everything will be fine, with her holding my face. Rim of tears filled my eyes, witnessing such excruciating pain suffered by someone so so dear to you is definitely not something i'll look forward to in the near future.

not forgetting in the breathless schedule, i got to travel between the hospital when mum is admitted. i thank god that Dad is really being there for her, taking leaves and accompanying her through the sleepless nights at home so far.

on a side note, i chanced upon her blog. Didnt know that she has started updating till tdy. I really appreciate the affection shown towards all her mentions. No doubt that i wasnt the perfect someone she could asked for, i held my stand that i gave 110% for her. As any other human beings, flashbacks was a passing phase, the happy times together is something i would not trade anything for. As we were such close, in terms of interest wise and the times spent ... the deeper the cut was felt. I loved her so much, yet she hurt me so so deep.

I sincerely wish her well now, perhaps it was a decision made on impulse and perhaps its a decision that favour the situation then. I used to harbour the feeling of hate towards her, but i understood that everyone makes mistakes. As long as you feel that you made the right decision, go ahead and get something out of it. But sometimes you got to realise, when things goes wrong. It will be too late to have any regrets cause u made your own decision. Never once i did so much to win a girl back and never once a girl has affected me that badly, she remains the first and hopefully the last.

of course, i would like to be in the other side of relationship status. But relationships are so fickle guided nowadays, the friends around me further proved my thinking. Its those kind of feeling that when you are in it, u want outta it. But when u are outta it, you WANT to be in it. Hopefully, that new chapter arrives soon, but judging on the pronounced schedule, it really seems quite hard.

Sat belongs to mum ... kena dragged for some groceries shopping at Giant Tampines. Went to look for dad for awhile over there as well. Bought this lil cupboard to insert into my wardrobe from the nearby IKEA, purpose being my bro's wardrobe looks better with it, thus MUM says, i gotta keep it that way too. RIGHT. i was also appointed as the "designer" of my house over this CNY at that location itself, cuz im born in the year of the RAT, so alot of rats ling ling long long is idling in my house now, hurrr ....

Some shopping over the evening, bought a shirt that i really likes, the process was only over 10mins , as i really like the colour and stuff, thus the next moment. im alr paying for it. *winks* recreation time of pool playing at The Labyrinth, i lost 4-2 ... damnz, but this is really good atmosphere pool place thats very particular of the cleanliness and stuff, they clean each table and the balls with this machine after use. rarely you get this kinda service anymore. With the music from the pub within. thumbs up !!!

went over to a KTV pub at Central sq aftrwards to find benny's friend, jolyn, this girl that keeps bugging me about the edison chen's scandal pics, ahaa ... that place is a righteously clean one though, and not like your wateva dynasty and stuff, ahahaa ! Ancient kangaroo didn't hop: scientists

SYDNEY (AFP) - - A 25-million-year-old fossil has revealed that a predecessor of Australia's iconic hopping kangaroo once galloped on all fours, had dog-like fangs and possibly climbed trees, scientists have reported.

"This is really the great, great, great, great grandfather of modern kangaroos," a member of the Australian team that analysed the bones, La Trobe University paleontologist Ben Kear, told The Age newspaper.

The near-complete skeleton of the prehistoric kangaroo was found in Queensland state in the 1990s and represents a new species called nambaroo gillespieae, Kear said.

The ancient animal is part of an extinct group of kangaroos known as the balbaridae, which is believed to have been replaced over time by the direct ancestors of modern kangaroos.

Kear said the study found the nambaroo, which was about the size of a small dog and had canine fangs, had "big, muscly forearms" that showed it galloped or bounded like a brush-tailed possum.

The ancient kangaroo also had opposable "big" toes and flexible feet, a sign it had some climbing ability, like modern tree kangaroos. It lived in dense forest, which suggests a diet of fruit and fungi.

"You've got this primitive kangaroo, imagine it's climbing low branches, bounding around the forest floor, eating fungi, eating fallen fruit," Kear said.

"It's very different to what we would imagine from your average kangaroo... that you see today."
